Thank you for visiting my website and for your consideration for my candidacy as a Texas Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

I am running for Delegate to the DNC because I want to represent those like myself who want – “Change We Can Believe In!”.

Since February of 2007,  I have pleasurably donated all of my spare time and energies on behalf of his message of hope and unity.  It has proved an awesome experience.  Through my efforts in Travis County, I have met and worked with a vast number of great Obama ’08 supporters.  We have shared our journey together, and in so many wonderful and different ways, each has inspired me to continue my service and dedication to Senator Obama’s movement beyond this election cycle, within my own community and Democratic Party.  I thank all of you for that inspiration and hope you are all enjoying our amazing ride for progressive and positive change as much as I am.

As a Texas Delegate to the DNC in Denver, I promise to work my hardest to energize and organize my fellow Obama ’08 patriots as we ready for this fall’s all-important general election.  I pledge to support the key components and values of the Democratic Party and Senator Obama’s Presidential Platform while also representing the resolutions that are in the best interest of our great home state of Texas, county of Travis, and city of Austin.

Additionally, I believe we need to extend our hands in a heartfelt effort to unite our fellow Democrats who supported Senator Hillary Clinton in this historic nomination process.  The Democratic Party and Senator Obama will need the Senator Clinton camp’s amazing enthusiasm and vigor in order to turn Texas Blue this fall and deliver Senator Obama to the White House.

We have a grand opportunity to make Texas a Democratic state again this election cycle, something that has not been done since 1976, in the aftermath of Watergate.  With the inspirational voice of Senator Obama leading our ticket, and with the current Bush administration paving the way for our victory through its own perpetuated incompetence, Texas is for this fall’s taking of Senator Obama and our fast-growing Democratic Party.

Our Obama Texas Delegation from my Senate District 14 is comprised of individuals like myself who will be attending the Texas Democratic Convention for the first time.  It is our responsibility to maintain the energy, dedication, and optimism instilled in us through Senator Obama's movement for change in order to lead, shape, and organize a better, winning future for the Democratic Party here in Texas.  If so honored with election as one of your Texas National Delegates, I promise to do exactly that at the DNC in Denver and far beyond.
